Florida Building Code Compliance
Florida Building Code compliance for manufactured building systems
is determined by your local municipality building departments interpretation of
the current written codes pertaining to manufactured building systems.
Engineered drawings and specifications should be submitted and approved before
your purchase or installation of any manufactured building systems.
Reputable manufacturers will be able to provide either drawings and
calculations signed and sealed by a State of Florida licensed engineer or will
have a State of Florida DCA insignia certificate attesting to the code
compliance of the manufactured building system for use in hurricane rated areas.
In addition to engineering showing code compliance with the Florida
Hurricane codes additional engineering attesting to code compliance for
current energy use standards, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
standards should be submitted and approved prior to the installation of the
manufactured building system.
